MAUI MOON

"For many years I lived at this location in Lahaina. We often saw the moon setting above Lanai while the sun came up over the West Maui Mountains. In this particular composition, I liked the moon suspended very low to the island, the red blossoms of the wiliwili tree suspended over the wall, and the verticals of the coconut trees. These coconut trees are very old, a few of them belong to the famous homesite of Puamana, noted by a song entitled 'Puamana'.
