HANAPEPE VALLEY, KAUAI

"I painted this from the vantage point at the bottom of Waimea Valley on the island of Kauai. All of the warm colors leading out to the blues of the ocean and sky were very compelling. There were rain clouds on the left, and cloud shadows cast out across the water. Using a palette knife to bring out the grasses with paint texture is challenging and fun for me."
